Burton First Tracks Gallery Opening

[UPDATED 2/13] FIRST TRACKS BY BURTON FEBRUARY GALLERY OPENING

By Nick Meilleur, Seattle, WA: Last Wednesday the Burton First Tracks Gallery opening night went down at evo in Seattle!

Terje Haakonsen, Jack Mitrani, Kimmy Fasani, Kevin Pearce, Billy Anderson and many other household names from the Burton team made their appearance at evo to enjoy the iconic Burton Snowboards gallery. Ten legendary boards are on display for the month of February, ranging from the 1991 Craig Kelly Extreme to the 2000 Burton Seven!

The gallery was a place where the Hilliard’s Beer flowed like wine and beautiful women instinctively flocked like the salmon of Capistrano. On top of that, free admission from 7 to 9 at All Together Skatepark (right below evo) got everyone stoked to ride their skateboards despite the typical Seattle downpour!

FIRST TRACKS—FEBRUARY GALLERY BY BURTON SNOWBOARDS

[Update: 02/11/2014]: Stop by the store, the gallery is up for the rest of the month! Pictures and video are coming!

By Nick Meilleur, Seattle, WA: In anticipation of the legendary Mt. Baker Banked Slalom, we’ve decided to move our normal gallery opening at evo in Seattle forward a few days. We’re super stoked to have our good friends at Burton Snowboards present their show “First Tracks” from 6 to 9 pm on Wednesday, February 5th at our flagship store in Fremont!

That’s not all…Bring your skate decks because we’ll be handing out a limited number of free wristbands good from 7 to 9 at All Together Skatepark! Who cares if it rains? Come enjoy some rad art, rad people and rip Seattle’s only indoor skatepark while you’re at it.

Burton didn’t invent snowboarding, but it has been involved since the beginning. Jake Burton founded his company in 1977 in Vermont, taking it from barn to building to global headquarters. Always rider-driven, Burton continues to pioneer boards, boots, bindings and all kinds of softgoods for your riding pleasure!

If you’re in Seattle and on your way to Baker for the Banked Slalom be sure to stop by and check out the event—Trust us; you don’t want to miss it. Burton will be displaying some of its most iconic boards alongside refreshments from Hilliard’s Beer, and then you can skate for free at ATS! It’s a win-win-win. PAPOW!
